Serenity4Seniors

Creating a positive and inclusive society for the Elderly

Our Story

When I was 12 years old, my mom took me to visit Daya Ashram, an old age home for elderly people with disabilities. The sight of frail and forgotten faces, many unable to walk or speak, shook something deep within me. I couldn’t stop thinking about them for days. It was the first time I realized how invisible some lives can become, and I quietly promised myself that the moment I had the power or even a single idea, I would do something to bring joy and Serenity back to people like them.

Serenity4Seniors was born in 2023 with a simple dream - to build a society, positive towards and inclusive of the elderly. Old age homes, seen as places of neglect, are in reality a temple of knowledge. Each resident is an archive of stories which remain untold.

I remember my first visit on 24th June, 2023, to Daya Ashram. A simple storytelling session which changed everything. What began as quiet weekend visits turned into something far greater.

Today, Serenity4Seniors is a volunteer organization with over 70 members, dedicated to achieving our vision. From tea parties to storytelling, from game nights to soirees, we’re showing up, staying, listening and learning.

Our elders don’t just deserve care, they deserve celebration.
