A Truly Happy Birthday
Our June 8 visit to Sahajya Old Age Home turned special as we celebrated Sweta’s birthday with the residents. With cake, music, and laughter, the room lit up. The elderly clapped along to our songs, their smiles making the moment feel like a celebration not just of life, but of togetherness.

As the cake was shared, so were tokens of gratitude. We exchanged small gifts—thoughtful items wrapped with care and intention. These simple gestures carried deep emotional value, bridging the gap between strangers and friends. It was a reminder that love doesn’t have to be grand to be deeply felt.
Later, we sat in a quiet circle, listening to stories from the residents—fragments of life told with wisdom and grace. Their reflections were soft yet powerful. In those moments, we were reminded why we return: to build connection, share warmth, and honour the quiet strength that lives in every elder’s voice.
